ENTREPRENEURIAL COLLOQUIUM - Unleash The Next BIG Thing

University of Engineering and Technology is one of the most renowned and prestigious institutions in Pakistan. Since its creation, UET has maintained coherence between academia and industry.

In 2011, five of the major societies of UET i.e. ACM, IEEE, ASME, EC, IET under the supervision of KICS has collaborated and arranged a first Mega Event of UET; Techno-Fest’11. There were 30 participant universities including UET Faisalabad, the University of Faisalabad, GCU Faisalabad, NFC Faisalabad, UET Taxila, BZU, COMSTAS, Air University, NED Karachi, IST Islamabad, Punjab University, IUB and UET Peshawar and had a walk-in of above 10,000 attendees. There were about 30 competitions gathering 500 teams from all over Pakistan. The prize money was worth PKR 250,000. Career-Fair had about 32 industrial stalls and 20 sponsorship partners.

This year Techno-Fest’12 is all set to achieve bigger than last time. A Joint Venture by IET, IEE, ASME, ACM & IB&M under the umbrella of KICS (Khwarizmi Institute of Computer Sciences)

This time UET is increasing competitions list to near forty. Technofest’12 provides one a full fledged opportunity to ‘experience the aptitude’ towards engineering and design of all sorts! It is an event comprising of engineering project exhibition, technical and non-technical competitions, seminars and workshops; the most important of all the Career-fair. There will be stalls from over 100 companies. The blend of technical and non-technical competitions would be the best treat for students. 

In Technofest'12 - IB&M, UET Lahore Presents first of its kind Entrepreneurial Summit .Specially for business graduates to create extraordinary from ordinary things already in the market.  A 2 day seminar covering the basics upon how to launch your own Company, Marketing your Products, Handling the biggest of the crisis and being Socially Responsible.

"Managers Today" first time has become the Learning Partner for this Mega Event.
